"Biosfera" - Bitola

Environmental Education
 

Education in the field of environment is the subject of the regional project implemented by "Biosfera" - Center for education and protection of the environment and nature from Bitola.

The goal of this project is to analyze the condition and the progress of environmental education in South-Eastern European Countries in the context of the preparations for the Fifth Ministerial Conference on the Environment that will take place in Kiev, Ukraine in May, next year, as well as a Strategy for ecological education development in Eastern European Countries.

"Biosfera" is implementing this project in cooperation with the following associations: "Borrowed Nature", Bulgaria, Ekolibri Bionet", Yugoslavia, "Friends to Earth", Romania, The Association for European Dimension", Albania, the project with a full name "Environmental education in the formal education in Eastern European countries - needs, accomplishments, partnerships, perspectives", supported by the Norwegian Foreign Office through the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Easter Europe with headquarters in Saint Endre, Hungary.

Each of the partner organizations will prepare a national report on the conditions and the presence of ecological education in the formal education. Web page and a printed brochure are being prepared and there will be public discussions in five towns in Macedonia and a meeting on national level
